I Didn't Plan to Become a Recruiter

Growing up, I thought I knew what my career would look like.

I studied Microbiology and believed my future would be in science. Like many people, I had a plan.

But life doesn't always follow our plans.

After graduation, I started exploring different opportunities, and that's when I discovered recruitment. I didn't know much about it then. I only knew that I enjoyed working with people and wanted my work to make a difference.

Looking back now, I believe recruitment found me.

The Moment Everything Changed

One day, I received a message from a candidate.

It simply said, "I got the job."

It may have looked like an ordinary message, but it meant everything to me.

I realized that recruitment isn't just about filling vacancies or matching CVs to job descriptions.

It's about hope...

It's about giving someone the opportunity to provide for their family, build their confidence, and change the direction of their life.

That message changed how I saw my work.

More Than Filling Roles

Since then, I've had the opportunity to recruit for different roles, source exceptional talent, and connect professionals with companies across different industries.

Along the way, I realized my impact didn't have to stop at recruitment alone. I started sharing job opportunities, career advice, and practical tips to help more people prepare for the opportunities they were seeking.

What began with a few posts gradually grew into communities of professionals across different platforms. Today, those communities have grown to more than 27,000 professionals who learn, share opportunities, and support one another.

Every time someone tells me they got a job because of a vacancy I shared, an interview tip I posted, or advice that gave them the confidence to apply, I'm reminded why I do this work.

Behind every application is a person hoping for a chance. A chance to grow, provide for their family, start over, or simply prove to themselves that they are capable.

As recruiters, we don't just review CVs or match skills to job descriptions. We meet people at some of the most important moments in their lives. We become part of their stories.

That is something I never take for granted.

To Every Woman Building Her Career

If there's one thing I've learned, it's that your career doesn't have to follow the path you imagined.

It's okay to change direction.

It's okay to discover a passion you never expected.

Don't let fear stop you from pursuing opportunities because you think you're not qualified enough.

You are capable of far more than you realize.

I'm Still Building

Today, I'm proud to work as a Global Recruiter, helping companies find exceptional talent while helping professionals discover opportunities that can transform their lives.

I'm still learning.

I'm still growing.

And every time I receive another message that says, "I got the job," I'm reminded why I chose this path.

Recruitment didn't just become my career.

It became my purpose.
