Build With Her Magazine · Ethics & Standards

Editorial Ethics & Standards

How we report, what we disclose, how we correct, and what we will not do. These standards apply to every story we publish.

“Our obligation is to the reader and to the accuracy of the record we are building. That obligation is not for sale.”
01

Editorial Independence

Build With Her Magazine is independently owned and operated. We have no parent company, no venture capital investors, and no advertising relationships that influence editorial decisions. No story is commissioned, spiked, softened, or accelerated because of a commercial relationship.

Our obligation is to the reader and to the accuracy of the record we are building. That obligation is not for sale.

02

Reporting Standards

All stories published in Build With Her Magazine are independently reported and edited. We verify claims before publication. We seek comment from people and organizations named in unfavorable contexts before publishing. We use on the record sources wherever possible and disclose when sources speak on background or anonymously.

We do not publish speculation as fact. We distinguish between what we know and what sources believe. We correct the record when we are wrong.

03

AI Policy

We use AI tools for research assistance and copy-editing support. We do not generate article text using AI. Every story published in Build With Her Magazine was written by the human author whose name is on it.

When AI tools are used in the production of any element of a story, including image generation, data analysis, or research synthesis, we disclose it in the piece. We do not use AI generated images without disclosure.

We do not use AI to impersonate sources, create composite characters, or fabricate quotes. Any use of AI that is not disclosed in the piece is a violation of our editorial standards.

04

Corrections Policy

We correct errors prominently and without delay. Corrections are published on the original article with the date of the correction and a description of what changed. We do not quietly edit articles and do not remove correction notices once they are published.

If you believe we have published something inaccurate, contact us at tarak@ozlunara.com with the specific claim and the evidence for the correction. We review every request.

05

Conflicts of Interest

Our writers and editors disclose any material relationship with people or organizations they cover. This includes employment, investment, personal relationships, and prior business relationships. If a conflict exists, it is disclosed in the piece or the writer is reassigned.

We do not accept gifts, travel, or access in exchange for coverage. We pay our own way to events we cover.

06

Contributor Ethics

Contributors are required to disclose any material conflict of interest relevant to their submitted story at the time of submission. Contributors affirm that submitted work is original, has not been published elsewhere in substantially the same form, and does not misrepresent facts or events.

We do not publish content that is promotional for the contributor's employer, product, or service without clear disclosure and editorial framing that makes the commercial interest plain to the reader.

07

What We Do Not Publish

Press releases and vendor-commissioned content. Content that is substantially generated by AI without human authorship. Anonymous attacks on named individuals. Unverified claims about people. Content that reproduces proprietary or confidential information without authorization.

These are not negotiable. They are the baseline conditions under which we operate.

08

Sponsorship and Advertising

We do not currently accept advertising. If we introduce advertising or sponsorship in the future, we will disclose all commercial relationships clearly and ensure that no commercial relationship influences editorial decisions. Sponsored content, if we ever produce it, will be labeled as such and kept editorially separate from our independent reporting.
