Can we normalize not having everything figured out?

Some of us are building careers.
Some are trying to start businesses.
Some are learning new skills.
Some are simply trying to make it through the week without giving up.

And the truth is, every one of those journeys is valid.

We live in a time where everyone shares their wins online. Promotions. New jobs. Big announcements. Beautiful milestones. While there’s nothing wrong with celebrating those moments, they can quietly make someone else feel like they’re falling behind.

But what we don’t always see are the late nights, the rejection emails, the tears, the fear of starting over, the moments of self-doubt, or the countless times people wanted to quit.

Growth isn’t always loud.

Sometimes growth looks like opening your laptop to apply for one more job after receiving ten rejections.

Sometimes it looks like taking a free online course because you believe your future can be different.

Sometimes it means choosing to rest because you’re exhausted instead of pretending you’re okay.

Sometimes it’s simply believing in yourself on days when no one else seems to notice your effort.

Please don’t measure your life against someone’s highlight reel.

The woman you admire today probably had days when she questioned herself too. She probably wondered if she was good enough, if things would ever work out, or if all the effort was worth it.

The difference wasn’t that she never doubted herself.

She just didn’t stop.

So if today feels slow…
If you’re wondering whether your efforts are paying off…
If you feel like everyone else is moving faster than you…

Take a deep breath and remember this:

You’re not behind.

You’re becoming.

Keep showing up.
Keep learning.
Keep believing.
And keep building the life you want, one small step at a time.

One day, you’ll look back and realize that the days you thought nothing was happening were actually the days that shaped the person you’ve become.

🤍

A Note From The Editors

Every story we publish is a reminder that more women are building than the world often sees.

Build With Her exists to document women who are building, leading, learning, surviving, creating, and becoming visible.

If this article resonated with you, maybe your story belongs here too.

You do not need to have everything figured out. You do not need a perfect title, a perfect company, or a perfect journey.

You only need a story worth sharing.
