Building for the Women I Never Saw is the story of how a personal search for representation, opportunity, and community became a mission to build what was missing. It explores the experiences that shaped my conviction that African women deserve greater access to mentorship, education, networks, and visibility. Through the creation of FoundHer and other initiatives, this is a story about turning the gaps I experienced into platforms that empower others—so the next generation of women can see what I never did.
FoundHer was built to address a fundamental gap in Africa's innovation ecosystem: talented women often have the ambition to lead, but not equal access to the networks, opportunities, markets, and support systems that accelerate success. As Managing Partner, I have focused on building an institution that goes beyond community by creating an ecosystem for founders, operators, engineers, creatives, and athletes to learn, connect, and grow. Through initiatives such as the FoundHer Fellowship, FoundHer Exchange, and FoundHer Market, we are developing the infrastructure that enables women to build sustainable careers, scale businesses, and create lasting economic impact. Our long-term ambition is to establish FoundHer as one of Africa's leading platforms for developing women leaders and expanding opportunity across the continent.
