I Built a Women's Wellness Brand Because No One Was Building It For Us

After being diagnosed with PCOS in London, I spent years feeling exhausted and out of balance despite doing everything right. The journey through extremes taught me that real wellness comes from understanding your body, not fighting it. When I returned to India, I noticed that almost no wellness brand was genuinely building around women's hormonal health. A single conversation with a close friend made that gap impossible to ignore. So I built Realign, a women's wellness brand where every product, from herbal teas to plant protein and affirmation cards, is designed with female hormones in mind. We just launched, but the mission has been years in the making.

I didn't plan to become a founder. I planned to just feel better.

Shortly after moving to London, I was diagnosed with PCOS. On paper, I was doing everything right, eating well, staying active, prioritising my health. But I still felt tired all the time, emotionally all over the place, and completely disconnected from my own body. The frustration wasn't just physical. It was the quiet, maddening feeling of doing everything "right" and still feeling wrong.

What followed was a long and painful relationship with extremes. Eating too little. Overcompensating. Chasing stricter routines in the hope that more control would somehow equal better health. It never did. What I eventually realised was something deceptively simple, sustainable wellness cannot come from restriction. It has to come from balance, nourishment, and actually understanding your body. That shift changed everything for me.

When I came back to India, I started paying attention to what was available for women like me, women navigating hormonal imbalances, PCOS, burnout, or simply trying to feel like themselves again. And I noticed a gap so obvious I couldn't unsee it. Very few wellness brands in India were genuinely building around women's hormonal health. Most products were either generic, clinical, or designed around unrealistic standards that made women feel more overwhelmed, not less.

The real turning point came during a conversation with a close friend. We were talking about this exact frustration — how something felt deeply missing in India's wellness space. That conversation stayed with me. Because it wasn't just our problem. It was every woman's problem.

That is when Realign started.

Realign is a women's wellness brand built entirely around female hormones. Every product we create from our three herbal teas to our plant protein and affirmation cards, is designed with one question in mind: does this support a woman's body the way her body actually works?Building it has been a lesson in restraint. The temptation as a first-time founder is to launch everything, chase every channel, and try to be everywhere at once. What I've learned often the hard way is that clarity beats volume every time. Knowing what not to launch, what not to prioritise, and who you are truly building for is just as important as the product itself.

We launched this week. We are brand new. But the mission has been years in the making, born from personal pain, shaped by real conversations, and built for the woman who is tired of being an afterthought in the wellness industry.

Realign is not just a brand. It is what I wish had existed when I needed it most.
